things to do in kl

Currency exchange, budget and some local tips

MYR rates are available online for your reference 🙂 There are money changers at the airport upon arrival, and many in locations close to the hotels and in KL.

The average cost for meals per day in KL is anything between MYR10 – MYR50 per person, depending on where you choose to eat 🙂 We strongly recommend trying the local food – it’s delicious, and less expensive too!

Sight-seeing in KL

KL is a beautiful city, thriving and bustling with culture and colours. If you’re arriving much earlier, we’d suggest booking some tours to soak in all the sights and sounds.

For a truly local experience, we recommend booking smaller tours with a private tour consultant. May Kuen, owner and tour consultant with Jalan-Jalan With MK  specialises in food tours, city tours and do good tours. Do get in touch with her directly for some really awesome sight-seeing and localised experiences (see info below).

**Alternatively, you can also look up Withlocals, an online portal that allows you to book private tours with locals. This is a great way to see the city through the eyes of Malaysians.
